Negroni Sneak Peak

Forgive the crappy cell phone pics, but it’s starting to look like a real men’s shirt over here! I’m allllmost done with a Negroni to match my Pastille. It still needs buttons and a bottom hem but it will be done soon! There was a moment when I was tempted to chuck it across the room and give up. The incident involved me sewing late at night, trying to hurry, and subsequently sewing a sleeve on incorrectly THREE TIMES before getting it right! Uhhgg!! I’m not a beginner sew-er so I was pretty upset with myself for making a stupid mistake like that, (let alone 3 times!) but it happens I suppose. Don’t sew when you should be sleeping, folks. It never ends well haha!

More on that mess later, along with some pics of my BEAUTIFUL dress courtesy of Shabby Apple and Sarah from Rhinestones and Telephones! I got it in the mail today and I love it!

I’ll be back soon 🙂

  • Yay, this really looks great!  DUDE.  I’m trying so hard to avoid last-minute/late-night sewing… nothing good comes of it!

    • Thanks! Yeah, seriously! I turn into an idiot every night after 10 pm apparently haha!

  • You two will be so cute together in your new clothes!

I would like to make Luke a Negroni, but I am scared!

    • Thank you!
It’s really not that scary I promise. Especially if you make the short sleeve version. I’ll post a detailed review and stuff soon 🙂

  • Paige P

That pattern is really intimidating for me! I’ve had it for awhile but the idea of menswear is so scary! Let us know what you think of it!

    • I will definitely give it a thorough review as soon as I slap the buttons on it! The yoke is a little tricky but definitely doable. I’ll be making another one soon for the little fabric shop that I work at as a demo, so I’ll take LOTS of step by step pictures as I put that one together 🙂

  • I love this shirt!! I must make a Negroni this year for my Mr. Friday 🙂
