Queen City Craft Bazaar 2012

I’m beyond excited to be participating in the Spring 2012 Queen City Craft Bazaar taking place this May in Burlington, VT! The vendor list for the event was just released, and there are some seriously amazing artist/crafters listed that I can’t wait to see!

Today I’ve been working on products for my table: “Wallettes” more specifically. I’m a huge fan of Melody Miller fabrics and love her linen blends for my mini wallets. I was informed today by Miss Miller that these particular fabrics are no longer in print and are therefore extra special! Limited Edition I suppose.

There are 15 new Wallettes awaiting their buttons and key rings, and a whole entire bag chock full of cut fabric waiting to be made into scarves! The craft fair is only one day long, but I plan to make an over abundance of stuff in order to be extra prepared. This is my first big craft fair so I really have no idea what to expect! If any experienced crafty mavens Β have any tips to share, I would LOVE to hear them!

p.s. that little fuzzy white face pictured above is what I woke up to this morning. Lucille and I always lay around and snuggle on my days off, and I know it’s time to get up when she hops off the bed and sits patiently at the foot. She’ll let out one big sigh if I don’t get up right away.

“Oh hai Mom, I see you’re awake now… does this mean we can go for a walk? …because I would really love to go for a walk. Just sayin.”

I can never ever resist that little face! It was cold and a bit snowy this morning, so we had to go for a quick walk, but we made it home just in time for her mid morning nap πŸ˜‰

I hope you are enjoying your week!

OH! p.p.s. If it wasn’t so gloomy and cold out today I would have taken my new Ruby Star Ginger skirt out for a walk as well. But alas, it was yucky. So no good pictures yet, sorry! I guess this instagram peek will have to suffice…

Lucille has quickly become one of my most favorite dogs in the blog world. She is the cutest and I know you know that.Β

  • First of all, Lucille looks so adorable in that picture. How could you resist such a face! I haven’t been to a craft show but have always wanted to. Where do you find out about such events? I only wish you the best of luck. It’s better to be over prepared than underprepared in my opinion. Knock them dead (not literally, of course).

  • Miss Crayola Creepy

Lucille is such a cute assistant!!!

  • Hey, that’s awesome! Congratulations! I adore that little face peeking over the bed! Miss Lucille steals my heart every time!

    • Thank you! Yeah, she steals my heart everyday πŸ™‚

  • HAHA I love that picture of Lucille. What a little ham!

Good luck with your craft fair! Those things are always so much fun πŸ™‚ I don’t have any tips except the really obvious – have a lot of change because people love paying for $2 items with a $20. Oh, and it really helps to have some kind of ~weird or “wow” thing that makes people do a double-take – it’ll draw people toward your booth, and half the time they end up buying something. Our booth had weird statues everywhere, including a giant pig dressed as a cowboy/sheriff. Lots of kids dragged their parents into our booth lol.

    • She’s totally a ham!

Giant sheriff pig. Got it. (which is seriously amazing by the way.) Thanks for the ideas. I really appreciate it πŸ™‚

I got really excited thinking this was in cincinnati, seeing as our official nickname is the Queen City.
ALAS, it is not. Looks like fun though!Β

    • I didn’t know there were two Queen cities. That is confusing, but also pretty cool!
