Kicking off the Macaron Parade!

First off, HOORAY!!! We did it! The Macaron Sew Along is done and there are so many amazing dresses in the Flickr pool to show for it. It’s a good thing there are going to be 3 total days of macaron parading to try to include as many of those dresses as we can! I really stepped out of my comfort zone on a few parts of my dress, so hats off to EVERYONE who gave Macaron a try. Awesome job, ladies!

Alright I’m going to get right down to business here and share a few dresses that really stood out to me for various reasons.

Jamie’s Dress – Cotton Candy/Peter Pan Collar-y goodeness plus a Game of Thrones reference? Yeah I’d say that’s a winner!

Angela’s Dress: Cute, classic, and well put together. Great Job, Angela!

Heidi’s Dress: Loving the mint green mixed prints! Way cute.

Shannon’s Dress: Vintage Kitty Print! Need I say more?

Honorable Mention: Knit Macarons!!! Genius really. I feel like I need more knit clothing in my life and these ladies definitely inspired to make the next project out of a knit! Check out more on Joanna’s dress, and Sarah’s dress (respectively).

    I have to admit that macaron is not my favorite of the Colette patterns just because I couldn’t envision a combination that I like… but I LOVE some of these. Totally gorgeous dresses and makes me want to make my own!

    Ah, Yay! I’m so glad you like mine and man, there were some freakin awesome dresses, right?! I’m glad you got my GOT reference ;) Man, I can.not.wait for Season 2. I have to watch it late at night so my kids don’t see the violence but what an awesome show.
