Welcome, November!

Oh, before we get into November I should probably share my Halloween costume before I forget. I didn’t make this one, but I love it so much it makes me want to sew up some Neo-Victorian/Steampunk stuff immediately! SO fun!

I wish I could wear a fancy bustle skirt and mini top hat every day! Those must have been the days.

Okay, moving right along…
November is probably my favorite month of the year. Not only because it’s my birth month, but there are lots of exciting things coming up that I’m really looking forward to!

First of all, the Peony Sew-along for Sew Colette will be taking a bit of a break after this month. We all need some extra time for holiday sewing, right? The Peony Parade will start the week of November 5th (and continue all week) so make sure you’re adding your finished project photos to the flickr pool!

After that, I’ll be sewing like mad in preparation for the Queen City Craft Bazaar on the 17th! I had so much fun in the spring, and I’m so excited to be back again for the holiday show. I’ll be making a lot more of these

Next up on the list of November activities is my birthday!! On the 19th I’ll be a whole quarter of a century old. I really love getting older, honestly. Or maybe I just really like birthdays ;) Oh, speaking of birthday presents, someone PLEASE get these flippin’ amazing feetie pajamas back in stock ASAP! I NEED them!

Don’t forget to check in with the Wrap along! I’ll be sharing my project on the 21st. If you don’t have the book yet you should really get it. The photos are gorgeous and the projects are all so cute! I mean, did you really expect anything less from Miss Miller?

And finally after all that is done, I’ll be making the Sassy Librarian Blouse by Christine Haynes! I already have the class downloaded, but I’m trying to be really good and not watch the videos until after the craft fair. I can’t wait to sew it! It’s so cute!

What are your sewing plans for November?

The costume suits you so much! Why NOT wear a bustle skirt and little top hat every day? You could totally make that your thing.

Your Halloween costume!!! Be still my heart!!! What fun that must have been! I can’t believe how busy you are!! My plans for this month are to… um… finish something. Anything.

We got home at the end of the night and I was just wandering around the hotel room in it because I didn’t want to take it off lol! It was soooo fun to wear. Finishing something is still a plan ;) You can do it!

Gah! I love your costume! What do you cinch down to? 18″? Amazing! Happy birth month to you!!! :) I wish I lived closer to you and Erin, too!

Honestly I have no clue what it was cinched to. All I know is drinking carbonated soda in a corset does not add to your lady like charm when you’re burping every 5 seconds!! Haha! One of these day we three have to plan a meet up! Or at least a google video hang out or something!

You’re my age!!! But I’m a couple of months older :)
Rochelle, your waist is teeny tiny!! You look awesome in that outfit, such a lady :)

Thanks! It was so fun to wear :) My whole family has teeny tiny waists. I’m not complaining, but all of the woman I think are beautiful have nice womanly curves! I don’t know of any sexy tooth picks haha!

OMG aren’t those pajamas amazing? I saw them a little bit ago and was SO BUMMED that they’re out of stock! I’m on the list but scared they’ll run out before I get mine, haha.

I know, right?! They’re supposed to be back in stock ON my birthday. Wouldn’t that be a nice present?

Hey, my birthday is this month, too! I’m about to start making a birthday dress– that’s my biggest sewing plan! I don’t usually make a big deal out of my birthday, but it’s a big one this year, so I figure I should celebrate with a new party dress, right?

    • Rochelle New November 1, 2012 at 3:51 pm #

Heck yes you should make a party dress!! I would if I had time. …plus I have no clue what I’m doing for my birthday yet. I just know there will be cake lol
