I’m off to my reenactment!

Well, at this time tomorrow I’ll be snuggling into my bunk at the Paper Doll’s WWII reenactment barracks! This is my first ever reenactment and I’m ridiculously excited and also pretty nervous. I’m impersonating a civilian farm girl, since that seemed to be a natural transition for me, and some easier shoes to fill as a first-timer. (Above is a little sneaky peek of one of my outfits) I’m definitely packing my two handmade dresses, but honestly it’s supposed to be below freezing on location so I’m glad I chose an impression that involves cord pants and layers of sweaters!! Getting into reenactments, especially WWII era, has been a life long goal of mine and I’m finally making it happen! SO. EXCITED!

I’ll be back next week, but look forward to two very special guests sharing awesome posts in my absence! Tasha and Erin do not disappoint :)

I shall return! (Hopefully with a slew of photos to share!)

    How fabulously exciting! I’ve always, always wanted to take part in a 1940s reenactment, too, but alas there really does not seem to be many in Canada (especially in small towns like the one where I live). I hope you have an amazing time and can’t wait to here more about your reenactment adventures.
