You are so becoming my go-to blogger for anything 1940’s. While my life is too impacted to participate in contests, I long to do so and live vicariously through your blog! Many thanks for spreading joy and excitement for all things 1940s and vintage.

    • Rochelle New

Thank you, that really means a lot to me! I’m so happy you appreciate the 40’s and vintage. I’ll do my best to keep on your go-to list ;)

Thanks I got it on sale at Old Navy in January. It’s a men’s sweater and I totally look like an old man in it but I don’t care ;)

  • Becca

I love the dress you made for Sew For Victory and can’t wait to see what other things you sew in the future! There will definitely be more 40’s group sewing to be done ;)

  • Loran Watkins

You’re very welcome! I can’t wait to do another Sew For Victory in the future. Your dresses are amazing!! Lucille says hi ;)

  • Tasha @ By gum, by golly!

    Yay for the winners!!

The video was SO cute, Lucille’s head was bobbing back and forth between the two of you, it was hilarious! You three are so cute. :)

    • Rochelle New

Haha thanks! Yeah Lucille spends most of her days looking at humans, trying to figure out why they have hands that are not petting her lol. She went to the Vet earlier for her booster shots and got at least one million pets, so I think she was satisfied with her quota for the day ;)

  • Julia Bobbin

    You are adorable!

  • Mary Nease

Yayyyyy! Thank you so much! ^_^

  • ShanniLoves...

Congrats to the winners! OMG I wanna squeeze Lucille she’s so cute! And I totally had to laugh at your man, he did a good job making sure the names were mixed up. lol!

    • Rochelle New

Yeah he was really excited to help lol! I’m so lucky he’s so enthusiastic about helping me with my blog, even if he is a dork ;) I should have had Lucille help more! She tries haha

  • Rachel Proffitt

    Congratulations to all the winners!
I was hoping you’d make Lucille pick out the winners- visions of her snout in the popcorn tub biting slips :D
Thanks for hosting the sewalong, Rochelle, it was a lot of fun!
(Maybe you can do a “Call the Midwife” one later- or a 4th July one lol)

    • Rochelle New

Haha awwww you’re right, I should have let her pick! She’s so adorable. And I LOVE that you just suggested a Call The Midwife sewalong! I seriously just bought a red cardigan because I want to make a uniform like the girls wear ;)

      • Rachel Proffitt

I have been eying up that cardigan all through the series LOL
I have plans for a blouse with a Peter Pan collar to be like them too ;)
