Right now I’m working on digitizing my original headband pattern (seen here and here) so everyone can have a chance to sew one! They were, by far, my most popular item at craft fairs and also in my online shop. In addition to the original pattern, I’m also working on a wider more rockabilly style variation. I ran into a problem though…
When making the headband wider, there was some major gap-age going on at the back. That doesn’t look very nice at all and it’s a pretty big pet peeve of mine. So I had to pinch out the extra fabric and re-trace the pattern so it fits more closely to the curve of the head. It makes for a really funny looking headband when it’s laying flat, but I think it looks great on a head! I have a few slight tweaks to make yet, but pretty soon these designs will be available as a PDF pattern for you to purchase. I will also add a few finished ready-to-wear ones back to the online shop, but they’ll most likely be reallllllyy limited edition. I want to start creating more tools for my readers who already know how to sew since you are the majority
What do you think so far?
