At nearly 20 years old, Tabby Mae is impressed by pretty much nothing anymore. Unless, of course, you’re on standby with a can of wet cat food and a saucer of milk promptly after she wakes from her 12 hour naps (and even then she’s not impressed. That’s just what she expects from her human servants). She may not be overly enthused with my new branding, but I am SO EXCITED!! I’ll be sending out a mini peek of the new logo in my newsletter tomorrow, but I can tell you right now, the ladies at Braid Creative are seriously amazing.
They have such a unique way of working with clients that involves Skype meetings, Pinterest boards, and actual homework (not to mention some awesome eCourses!) which allows them to truly know your brand, and help you develop your creative business based on where you want to be, not necessarily where you are. Not to mention is feels really good when people are as excited to work with you as you are with them! In my case, I don’t want to be just a sewing blogger or hobbyist anymore. I am working on my own line of vintage inspired/reproduction sewing patterns right now and Braid has helped take that dream one step closer to reality with the work they’ve done. In fact, when I saw a mock up of my pattern packaging I cried lol! That’s how awesome I think it is. The printed patterns are a ways off yet, but this new branding will be a great transition towards that step.
My headband PDF is almost ready to be sent to a few pattern testers, but I’m aiming to release that by October. I want it to be exactly right before putting it in your hands
With that said, is there anything you’d like to see change on my blog as far as usability? I’m definitely going to implement a search bar to make posts a little easier to find. What do you think of my commenting system? Did you prefer the Disqus comments better? Let me know!
