In Block Printing/Design

Guest Post for the Spoonflower Design-A-Day Challenge

Today’s prompt in the Spoonflower Design-A-Day Challenge is Block Printing and I’m honored to be sharing a mini How-To on their blog. The #SFDesignADay challenge is delivered as a daily email prompt to inspire designers to create a new print each day using a different medium or method.  I decided the challenge was a good excuse for me to create a brand new print especially for the tutorial. I’m really intrigued by Spirit Animals and their meanings (Isn’t that such a fun thought? I’m pretty sure Lucille is my Spirit Animal, IRL) so that’s where the inspiration for this little “bear spirit” comes from.RochelleNew_BearPrint_F

For the full tutorial, check out my post on the Spoonflower blog! Also, if you’re interested in designing your own fabric for Spoonflower (and/or winning prizes), be sure to sign-up for the Design-A-Day challenge. I’ve been browsing the #SFDesignADay hashtag on Instagram and people are creating really beautiful things!

p.s. My little Spirit Bear print isn’t available for sale in my shop yet as I’m working on some more spirit animals to release together as mini collection. My owl print is up though …in four colors! 🙂
